THE PROGRESSIVES-HARAMBE, INC. NFP is a community-based, non-profit organization driven by dedicated women striving to foster academic excellence and create resilient communities. We are committed to two key objectives:
- Nurturing the holistic growth of children by providing educational, cultural, social, and emotional support.
- Providing valuable assistance to families facing emergencies in the Chicagoland area.
With our annual benefit fashion show and yearly membership dues, we raise funds to go toward scholarships, enrichment camps, and supporting the social and cultural development of children.

THE PROGRESSIVES-HARAMBE, INC. NFP is recognized as a tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service. As such, donors can deduct contributions as provided in IRC Section 170. Additionally, our organization is qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, legacies, devices, transfers, or gifts under IRC Sections 2055, 2106, and 2522.
Since 1972, THE PROGRESSIVES-HARAMBE, INC. NFP has awarded more than $400,000 in educational scholarships to students in the Chicago metropolitan area.
